Prospective students, parents, and educators visit SAIT for the annual open house.
Few SAIT students may have noticed the ambient background music playing as they stand in line for their morning double double, and those who have may not be aware that the music drifting through the halls is from SAIT’s own campus radio station.
SAIT Archivist Karly Sawatzky explains the 100 year history of SAIT’s institution. Opening in 1916, SAIT was originally in the Colonel James Walker School in Calgary, and had only 11 students. Currently located on its new campus, SAIT now has 14 main buildings on site, and approximately 50,000 current students.
