On October 21 Calgary was host to their 54th annual New & Used Ski Sale. With over 12,000 equipment items up for grabs, the sale is the largest ski swap in Canada.

Thousands gathered holding lit lanterns in Calgary for the Light the Night walk to raise funds and awareness for blood cancer and their patients. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada has been holding the annual event for the past eight years, and has 11 official walks across Canada.
While there hasn’t been an official outbreak of the flu this year, some Calgarians have been experiencing symptoms since early September. As a result, SAIT Health Services will begin offering flu shots starting Oct. 24, 2016.
