Valentine’s is here yet again, and Alberta’s own Crave Cupcakes has some very special treats lined those sweethearts with a sweet tooth.
Even though Crave is a small, local bakery, customers have been lining up since 2004 to have a bite of their delicious creations. This year was expected to be the same.
“We always expect orders to be busy on Valentine’s Day,” Crave Kensington store manager Bobbi Sewall said in an interview.
“And because it falls on a Friday and it is a long weekend, we expect it to be a very busy day.”
Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year for Crave Cupcakes.
Crave may be a small family business, but it has proved that it can work under pressure time and time again. With four stores in Calgary, and stores in Edmonton and Saskatoon, Crave has proven to be a big success.

The Valentines specialties only run from Jan. 31st to Feb. 15th .
The specials this year are Sweetheart Valentine Cupcakes, German Chocolate Cupcakes, Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes, Crave Love Bug, Ruffled Heart, or your own personalized message to that special someone.
Along with cupcakes, a new line of Valentine’s cookies have been added.
The mouthwatering list of cookies includes Vanilla Heart Shaped Cookies, Valentine Confetti Cookies, Chocolate Cinnamon Heart Sandwich Cookies, Chocolate Caramel Tart, Pink Raspberry Heart Shaped Marshmallows, and mini-heart vanilla sandwich cookies.
For those who cannot eat gluten, the store now also offers gluten free cupcakes.
Calgary customers can find Crave on Kensington Road N.W., just west of 10th Street, in Crowfoot, Aspen Landing and in Willow Park.
