The artists loved the interest shown by the public in their work.<\/p>\n
Jeff de Boer is a Calgary artist who studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD).<\/p>\n
De Boer has created a number of high profile artworks in the city, including an installation in the new International terminal at the Calgary airport.<\/p>\n
He also designed the Cross Iron Mills Steel Cowboys.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy work isn\u2019t always about me. My work has always been about connecting with the public outside of me,\u201d said de Boer.<\/p>\n

Charlene Turner-Kroeger’s studio is in the Artpoint building. She has been an artist for years and has transitioned through many different mediums.<\/p>\n
Turner-Kroeger has seen a lot of interest in her artwork over the years.<\/p>\n

Ettore Iannacito, an artist from Ontario, loves the public engagement in Calgary.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t recall anything like this in Toronto,\u201d said Iannacito.<\/p>\n
He paints with acrylics and has always had an interest in art.<\/p>\n
His paintings are from 2014 to 2017.<\/p>\n

The building was packed with people and many pieces were sold.<\/p>\n
A popular artist at BVAS was Cecilia Gossen, whose gallery was swamped by people enjoying her art and the kind of work she does.<\/p>\n
Gossen does a type of art called constructions which involves taking different parts and assembling them into something new.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
