(Photo by KaleyRamage\/The Press)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"wpsdc-drop-cap\">A<\/span>lberta started its<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alberta.ca\/alberta-relaunch-strategy.aspx?utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=sem&amp;utm_campaign=Relaunch&amp;utm_term=General&amp;utm_content=v2&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMIs66wsaSJ6gIVZCCtBh0Utgr2EAAYASAAEgLZCfD_BwE\"> three-stage plan to reopen the economy<\/a> on May 14, but not all businesses were obligated to open.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Tapanga Beddome is a hairdresser at First Choice Haircutters in Lethbridge, Alta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She graduated from Bella Elite in December and has worked at the salon for around four to five months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When COVID-19 hit, the salon was ordered to close from the higher-ups, being that it is a franchise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">All hairdressers are ordered to use masks and gloves and practice physical distancing when they do open up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe worked all the way up until we were ordered to close,\u201d said Beddome.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">While the Lethbridge location has not yet reopened, some locations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.signaturestyle.com\/locations\/ab\/calgary.html\">in Calgary<\/a> have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">An official opening date hasn\u2019t been scheduled yet, but Beddome says people have been super eager to get back in the salon chair.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cJust be smart when you come in,\u201d said Beddome. \u201cWe work super up close and personal with people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Beddome has been doing the hair of her friends and family since the pandemic hit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Getting a haircut is a huge way to change up your look and boost your confidence.
