(Photo by Josh Salvucci\/The Press)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"wpsdc-drop-cap\">L<\/span>ions dancing kicked off a massive celebration for the Lunar New Year that rippled throughout the SAIT campus on Feb. 9.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The celebration saw thousands of students gathered across different buildings to check out all of the dancing and enjoy the food. Students at the John Ware building got involved with different activities like getting their own banner and a goodie bag.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many kinds of decorations also covered the inside of the facility, the most prominent of which was a dragon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the Chinese zodiac, 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. The Year of the Dragon represents good luck, justice, prosperity and strength.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBeing able to go out and share it with others who don&#8217;t celebrate it and just getting to show the culture is really fun,\u201d said Victoria Khuu, a dancer who participated in the event and showcased her passion for the Lunar New Year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The passion was clear to see in the audience.
