From Bollywood to Calgary: Shreya Ambasta performs Bollywood moves in the photo studio at SAIT in Calgary on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016. Originally from east India, Ambasta moved to Calgary in 2004 where she soon joined Sparq Productions, a dance group led by Tania Lemos and Vishal Malpuria from the Bollywood film industry. Trained in Indian classical dance, Bharatnatya, Ambasta is currently a professional team member at Sparq Productions, performing and teaching frequently throughout Calgary. In addition to her busy dance schedule, Ambasta completed a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and works as a full-time engineer with Husky Energy.
