Quiet commotion: Women hold protest signs at the second-annual Women’s March in downtown Calgary. More than 5,000 people attended the march in 2017. This year’s march began with an indigenous smudging ceremony and was followed by a march from Banker’s Hall to City Hall along Stephen Avenue before a number of speakers took the spotlight.
