Smiles All Around: King’s Own Calgary Regiment visited the Foothills MarketSquare March Spring Market in Okotoks on March 10th, 2018. Captain Sherlock Hubbard, left, Sergeant Wennerstrom, centre, and Corporal Cairns, right, all flashed a smile for the camera. The King’s Own Calgary Regiment has served Canada for over 100 years. The Regiment fought at Vimy Ridge and many other major battles of the First World War. During the Second World War, the Regiment was known as ‘The Calgary Tanks’ and it fought in the Dieppe Raid, and helped liberate Sicily, Italy, and the Netherlands.
