Poignant Shoe Art Project: 1200 shoes were on display at the Olympic Plaza, to reflect the number of missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada, at the Awo Taan Healing Lodge’s 12th annual Sisters in Spirit March and Vigil in Calgary on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016. The shoes are part of a project created by two aboriginal sisters called, ‘Footprints Project’, and the shoes will be donated after today, to non-profit, women-serving organizations.(Photo by Carole Chabot/The Press)
